Thus I banked on working under their guidance and on the ideas they threw in front of me. During the first few months it became apparent that our research interests did not match at all.In terms of contacts and networks I came into the academic world empty handed. After giving my position some thought I decided that I should pursue my own path.Every night, researchers who investigate relationships and person perception miss out on great opportunities. Millions of parties and social gatherings take place throughout the world, and no one is there to measure the interpersonal dynamics taking place in these real-world environments.
